Agis acts for a significant number of Cypriot artists, some being well known internationally. Over the years, he has assisted them in various transactions, most often with galleries. Agis has acted as counsel in disputes in matters related to art, commercial agreements between artists and galleries, and copyrights.
Agis’ educational background includes: University of Leeds (LL.B. 2003); Inns of Court School of Law (Bar Vocational Course, 2004); London School of Economics, University of London (Corporate & Commercial LL.M. 2005); Queen Mary, University of London (Postgraduate Diploma in International Mediation & International Construction Arbitration, 2010); Advanced Arbitration Academy, ICC Moscow & CIArb (2013); Diploma in Negotiations, Athens University of Economics and Business (2016).
Agis is a partner of Christos Georgiades Accessories Ltd. His practice focuses on international litigation and arbitration. He has extensive experience in dealing with complex commercial, construction, energy, IP and fraud cases. Agis is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn, a Fellow of CIArb and an Accredited Mediator. He was recently appointed by the Supreme Court of Cyprus as a member of the Committee for Amending the Rules of Civil Procedure. He lectures on the law of evidence at the University of Nicosia.
