Patrick is a German attorney based in Singapore. He practises commercial, shipping and IT law and international arbitration as counsel, arbitrator, or official legal expert/expert witness. He belongs to the small number of foreign lawyers qualified under and admitted to practise Singapore law.
Art law is another area of practice of Patrick’s. He advises Singapore artists, such as book authors, musicians and visual artists, in contractual and contentious matters.

Apart from being a CAfA arbitrator, Patrick is on the panel of arbitrators of the following institutions: Singapore International Arbitration Centre (Reserve Panel); Chinese Arbitration Association, Taipei (CAA) ; Thailand Arbitration Centre (THAC); Indian Institute of Arbitration & Mediation (IIAM); Vienna International Arbitration Centre (VIAC) ; Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MARC); and Delos Arbitration, Paris.

He is a fellow (FCIArb) of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (FAIADR) as well as a member of the German Maritime Arbitration Association, the German Institution of Arbitration, the Hamburg Arbitration Circle, the Singapore Academy of Law, the Law Society of Singapore, the Bar Association of Berlin, and the Indo-German Lawyers Association.

As a mediator, Patrick is accredited by the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI), and the International Mediation Institute (IMI).

He has published professional articles and delivered speeches and lectures on a variety of subjects, most of them related to international arbitration, commercial and Internet law.
