Harry is an attorney and arbitrator focused on commercial law. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a Notary Public for Nigeria and a lawyer with rights of audience in the AIFC Courts Kazakhstan. Harry facilitates, features and speaks regularly at international conferences and has published on issues related to commercial arbitration, international law and practice and procedures of Courts. Harry is trained in international commercial arbitration and he authored the Report on Nigeria in “the Right to a Physical Hearing in International Arbitration” for the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA).
Harry specializes in arbitration and litigation and is presently the head of litigation, arbitration and mediation at Ukiri Lijadu. Harry has been in active commercial law practice since 2007 and has considerable experience handling commercial matters of varying nature and value in copyrights, sale of goods, family law, wills and inheritance, banking, insurance & finance, aviation, labour & employments, international trade, international arbitration, and product liability sectors.
Harry has served as Arbitration counsel and Mediator attorney in a wide range of commercial disputes at both the domestic and international level. He is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration, a Neutral of the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dispute Resolution Centre, and a certified Arbitrator of the Rivers State of Nigeria Multidoor Court House. Harry is a member of the Lagos International Court of Arbitration and has participated in several Moot events such as judging in the Jessups. He was appointed to the original Arbitration and Mediation pools of CAfA in November 2022.
He is a current member of the Executive Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria Branch, and recently served as Legal Adviser to the Nigerian Bar Association, Lagos Branch between 2019 to 2021 for which he received a service Award for furthering the advancement of the Nigerian Bar Association’s activities. He is a member of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce International Arbitration Center (Telecoms, Media & Entertainment Technical Committee), and a certified ADR Registrar/Secretary. He is also a member of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA). Harry’s educational background includes: LLB; B.L.,DipICArb.
