Jorge is managing partner at Ogarrio Daguerre, S.C., a Mexico City based law firm. He is an attorney and arbitrator focused on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and real estate. He is the author of various articles related to arbitration and foreign investments.

His law practice has included arbitration since 2004. Has served as Arbitrator in a wide range of commercial disputes and has been an art enthusiast since young age. Member of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados, A.C., chair of its Young Lawyers Committee 2002-2005, member of its Board of Directors 2006-2010, member of its Honor Committee 2013-2015 and chair of its Arbitration Committee July 2018 to April 2021); International Bar Association; Mexican Mediation Institute (Instituto Mexicano de la Mediación); US-Mexico Bar Association (member of its Board of Directors 2007-2012); Mexican Arbitration Institute (Instituto Mexicano del Arbitraje); Arbitration Committee, Mexican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce; Arbitration Center of the Construction Industry (Centro de Arbitraje de la Industria de la Construcción / CAIC, member of its advisory board 2013-2016). Has participated as arbitrator as well as president of arbitral tribunals in multiple arbitration proceedings, national and international, administered by the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the National Chamber of Commerce of Mexico (Cámara Nacional de Comercio – CANACO), the Arbitration Centre of Mexico (Centro de Arbitraje de México - CAM) and the Arbitration Center of the Construction Industry (Centro de Arbitraje de la Industria de la Construcción – CAIC), as well as in non-administered arbitrations. Has also participated as secretary in arbitrations under chapters XIX and XX of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Accredited the XII Course on International Arbitration organized by the Mexican Chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce and the Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico, 2004). Appointed member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Task Force on Financial Institutions and International Arbitration (2014-2016). Appointed member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Task Force on "ADR and Arbitration" (2020 - to date).

Jorge’s educational background includes the Escuela Libre de Derecho (Mexico / J.D.) and Georgetown University Law Center (Washington D.C. / LL.M.). Foreign associate at Sullivan & Cromwell (New York / 1995-1996).
