María Beatriz Burghetto is a tri-qualified attorney (Argentina, France, England & Wales -admitted to enrol as solicitor-) and arbitrator focused on international arbitration in various sectors, including disputes involving IP rights, and on international commercial contracts, corporate and investment matters.
María Beatriz’s law practice has included arbitration since 2002, when she joined the ICC Secretariat, in Paris. In her years practicing since 2005, María Beatriz has served as counsel in numerous international arbitrations and has also acted as arbitrator. She is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She has founded and moderates the “Wake up (with) arbitration!” round tables and she currently co-chairs the Paris Bar Latin American Commission. María Beatriz has published regularly on international arbitration topics and lectured at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and several other prestigious venues. Forthcoming publications include an article on risk assessment in third-party funding in investment arbitration.
María Beatriz’s educational background includes: University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (J.D.); Queen Mary College, University of London, UK (LL.M.). She is trilingual in English, French and Spanish.
