Maria Claudia is an attorney and arbitrator experienced in art law, entertainment and commercial law. She is a frequent speaker and has published extensively on issues related to international arbitration and business.
Maria Claudia’s law practice has included arbitration since 2007. She has served as Arbitrator in a wide range of commercial disputes at both the domestic and international level. Maria Claudia is a member of the Arbitration Panel of the London Chamber of Arbitration and Mediation, the ICC Commission on Arbitration, and member and Secretary of the Latin American and Iberian Chapter of the ICC Institute of World Business Law since 2018. She is also a member of the ICC Latin American Arbitration Group and the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF), having served as the ICC YAF representative for the United Kingdom and Portugal from 2017 to 2019. She was appointed to the original Arbitration pool of CAfA in June 2020.
Maria Claudia is a mentor under the mentorship program for women of the “Club Español de Arbitraje” and a member of the board of the Latin American Arbitration Practitioners in Europe.
Maria Claudia’s educational background includes: Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (J.D. 2003); Université Pantheon-Assas – Paris II, (LL.M. 2006) Maria Claudia speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
