Rita is an attorney and arbitrator focused on business law, art law, copyright, entertainment, capital markets and financial crimes, investment, and commercial law. She is board member of the BBA Center of Information and Communication Technology, and she is certified and vetted roster member of Justice Rapid Response rapidly deployable specialized justice experts.
Rita practiced international arbitration and litigation since 2006, including as senior associate and partner at top law firms in Lebanon. She has served as parties’ representative, arbitrator and secretary of tribunal in a wide range of cross-border art law, commercial and investment disputes.
In addition to her law degree from the national Lebanese University, she holds a French-language masters degree in French, European and International Business Law from Aix-Marseille III University (France). She is finalizing her Ph.D. thesis in international arbitration in the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France).
She assisted in authoring Arbitration with the Arab Countries, Third Revised and Expanded Edition, drafted in English, published by Kluwer Law International, 2011. Rita has published extensively on issues related to art law, business and arbitration law in Lebanon, the Arab countries and abroad.
She was member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), as well as organizer and participant in a significant number of international seminars.
Rita works in French, Spanish, English and Arabic, written and spoken with full proficiency.
