Advocate-General at the Supreme Court of The Netherlands
Robert has expertise in tax law, contract law, joint ventures, arbitration, trusts, estates & succession.
He has practiced as a lawyer for many years before becoming Advocate General in 2008.
Robert is an arbitrator of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute, a member of the arbitration board on insurance disputes of Kifid and a member of the ICC Netherlands Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
Among his personal interests are visiting museums and exhibitions, the theatre, tennis and diving.
He has studied law and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam; Ph. D, 1990. Robert is fluent in Dutch and English, reasonable in German and can read French and Spanish.
