Sabrine Schnyder

Sabrine Schnyder, Senior Associate at VISCHER in Zurich, Co-Founder of the Arbitration Drinks, Art(Law)Drinks and Privacy Drinks in Switzerland.

Sabrine is an attorney and arbitrator focused on art law, IP law (including copyright) and commercial law. She has vast experience in contract law, including the CISG, international private law as well as cross-border investigations and gained additional knowledge in data protection over the years. She advises clients of the pharmaceutical industry as well as clients of the art, fashion, luxury, MedTech, FemTech, technology, renewable energy, semi-conductor sector. Sabrine is a frequent speaker and has published on issues related to arbitration and art law.

Sabrine’s law practice has included arbitration for more than ten years. She has acted as counsel or arbitrator in a wide range of commercial disputes in Swiss Rules, ICC and SCC arbitrations and represents clients in arbitration related proceedings before Swiss courts. She is a member of various arbitration associations, including the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA and ASA below 40), AIJA, ICC YAAF, ICCA/Young ICCA, Rising Arbitrator Initiative (RAI) and Arbitral Women/Young Arbitral Women. As a former participant, she regularly acts as ranking arbitrator at the Willem C. Vis Moot in Vienna. She was appointed to the arbitration pool of CAfA in 2023.

Sabrine passed the bar exam as third best of her year in Geneva and is admitted to the bar in Zürich. She holds degrees from the University of Lucerne and the University of Geneva, where she studied art law and IP law as part of her Master Degree. She is a qualified data protection officer (DPO) and holds the IAPP CIPT certification. Before joining VISCHER, she has worked in large international law firms, both in Zurich and Geneva.
