Sofia is an attorney, mediator and arbitrator focused on entertainment & media law, copyright, financing and commercial law. She is a sole practitioner in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and has experience advising on both civil law and common law issues.
Sofia’s law practice has included arbitration and mediation since 2018. She has served as counsel in a wide range of entertainment & media law and commercial transactions and negotiations at both the domestic and international level. Sofia has advised clients on all matters regarding the creation, purchase and lending against copyrighted works. Her clients include the world’s leading institutional lenders, not-for-profit art organizations, filmmakers and artists across various mediums. She was appointed to the original Arbitration and Mediation pools of CAfA in January 2020.
Sofia’s educational background includes a Bachelor´s degree in Civil Law from Université de Montréal (2006 LL.B.) and a Master of Science in International Management from HEC Montréal (2010 M.Sc.). She is fluent in English, French and Italian.
