David Hernández González


David is a lawyer and mediator focused on sports, entertainment and art law, with experience in the negotiation and elaboration of contracts. He is also an advisor in the field of numismatics, intellectual property issues, conflict resolution through negotiation and mediation, and valuation. He is a Professor of Sports Law in the Universidad Iberoamericana (2010 - ) and has also taught various courses related with Business Law (e.g., Intellectual Property, Copyrights, Civil Contracts, Commercial Contracts, etc.) at the Universidad YMCA (between 2015 and 2018). Moreover, David is an Honorary Researcher at Escuela Libre de Derecho (sports, entertainment and art law, law and literature, ADR and collaborative law) (2010 –).

David is the author and Co-author of several books, among which are Commercial Law Notions, and Introduction to Numismatics (the research won the Award “Manuel Romero de Terreros” 2010 of the Mexican Numismatic Society).

He is a Mediator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), based in Lausanne, Switzerland (2019 - ); Founder and Administrative Secretary, Ibero-American Federation of Peace Culture, ADR and Collaborative Law (2018 - ); Corresponding Member of the Italian Society for Law and Literature (2019 - ), and President of the Mexican Academy of Entertainment Law (2011 – ). David was appointed to the Mediation pool of Cafa in January 2020.

His educational background, includes among others, various studies, such as: Postgraduate in Obligations and Contracts (Escuela Libre de Derecho, 2004 - 2005); Diploma in Private Mediation (Escuela Libre de Derecho, 2017 – 2018); Course in Legal Audit as a means of preventing sanctions and business crimes, and Course in Negotiation and Preparation of Business Contracts and Agreements (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, 2017); Course in Legal Argumentation (Universidad Iberoamericana, 2011); Course in History of Daily Life (El Colegio de México – Mexico X, 2015); Diploma in Art Valuation (Casa Lamm, Centro de Cultura, 2015); Course in Art Valuer (Rafael Matos, Casa de Subastas, 2014), Course in Introduction to classical literature through the literary genres (Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas, Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México, 2014). David is a Spanish native speaker and speaks English fluently.
