Elena is an attorney, and arbitrator focused on art law, copyright, entertainment, and commercial law. Elena is a frequent speaker and has published extensively on issues related to arbitration, copyright, and business. She is also a visiting lecturer in the Suffolk University where she teaches intellectual property law.
Elena’s law practice has included arbitration since 2009 and she is an accredited CEDR mediator. She has served as counsel and Arbitrator in a wide range of art law and commercial disputes at both the domestic and international level. She is a member of several arbitration institutions Arbitrators’ list, including the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center’s list of Arbitrators.
She has also an extensive experience in court proceedings related to art, copyright, contractual and trade matters, and is entitled to appear before the Spanish Supreme Court. Elena, also devotes herself to advise and to conduct negotiations with public authorities, institutions and other stakeholders in connection with art and entertainment related issues.
Elena is a member of the Madrid Bar (Spain) and is registered as an EU Attorney in the Geneva Bar Association (Switzerland). She is also a member of the Arbitral Women Association and the Club Español del Arbitraje.
She has been recognized by the most prestigious legal guides for several consecutive years (Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 amongst others).
Elena’s educational background includes an LLM in International Disputes Settlement (Geneva Law School and Graduate Institute, Switzerland), a Master of Law in Intellectual Property, Innovation Law and Unfair Competition (Alicante University, Spain), a Master of Law in European Law (Graduate Institute, Switzerland) and a Master of Law (Alicante University, Spain).
