Nicola Wallace
Barrister and Mediator, 4PB Chambers; Founder of Art ADR Global
Nicola is a civil, commercial and family mediator with a focus on mediation for the art and cultural heritage sectors. She is the founding member of Art ADR Global. Nicola presented at the CAfA launch in 2018, (AiA Conference) and was part of the team formulating the CAfA Mediation Rules.
Nicola’s legal practice has included mediation since 2015. She has served as Mediator in a wide range of family wealth issues, inheritance issues, art law and commercial disputes. Nicola is a fully accredited civil and commercial mediator for ADR Group and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. She is also a panel member for ADR ODR International. Additionally, Nicola has qualified as a Faith Mediator.
Nicola is an accredited trainer for ADR Group. Nicola participates annually as a Judge at the ICC International Mediation Competition in Paris. She assisted the teaching faculty at the Harvard Advanced Mediation Course (2017). Nicola is a frequent speaker at conferences and universities both in the UK and in Europe, on the subject of mediation in art and cultural heritage disputes.
She was appointed to the original Mediation pool of CAfA in January 2020.
Nicola’s educational background includes: BA (Hons) Law & French; MSc Art Law and Business (Christies).
